In comparison, revenue growth for the big four rose 6 percent, a market share declined of 8% two years earlier. KPMG, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, and Price Water House Coopers have a competitive advantage in providing services to Chinese state owned enterprise IPOs, but small and medium-sized firms are more reluctant to use their service because of high costs. Since domestic companies can offer more flexibility in their services and prices, local firms have been gradually securing a bigger market. In addition, key and strategic enterprises in China are being encouraged to use domestic firms to ensure security of the country's financial information.
