Inventor of France's 31-wheel roller suit Jean-Yves Blondeau has successfully rolled down the 99 curves and zigzags of central China's Tianmen Mountain on Sunday. Blondeau, 42, is known as the French "Rollerman" for his skating speed record of 110 kilometers per hour. Blondeau's roller suit is comprised of 10 parts, including a helmet, protective wear, kneepads and armguards. He specially prepared two suits for the Chinese mountain challenge to ensure its success. One blue-colored suit features 32 wheels for increased speed, while another golden variation boasts broader wheel treads for better control. The Tongtian (sky-ascending) Avenue where Blondeau drifted down the mountain extends only 10.77 kilometers in length. However, 1000 meters separate the elevations of the starting point and the finishing line. The avenue is also composed of 99 sharp bends, with most paths stretching along steep cliffs.
