| A Moose in Norway Takes a Woman as Its Mom Posted: 19 Jul 2012 10:56 AM PDT | It's an unlikely friendship, but a bond that will last a lifetime. Three years ago, Svea the moose was separated from her mother in the fjords of Nesbyen, Norway, and by chance, wandered into the care of zookeeper Anne Grete Lindvik. Svea not only found a home at Langedrag park where Lindvik works, she found family. [Anne Grete Lindvik, Zookeeper] "She means a lot to me. I usually say that she is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. To have a close relationship to a wild animal - she never had a moose mother, but she has me. It's like you feel it in your heart. It's touching." Since then, their family has grown. Svea is now a mother herself and Lindvik, in some ways, is now a grandmother. In fact, if Svea is apart from Anne Grete for long, she will jump and make noises - behavior that experts say is used to call for mother. Sansha has been established since June, and is a recently-founded Chinese city in the disputed waters between China and Vietnam. The dispute has been ongoing. Premier Wen Jiabao has signaled warnings for China's employment condition. His words come hot on the heels of the lowest growth number China has seen in three years. This month, the Ministry of Public Security in China will conduct intensive ideological education and training for 1400 county and city-level police chiefs. It's the latest round of nationwide training for new police chiefs since 2009 and 2010. This year's training focuses on the force's capability for frontline enforcement. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Beijing today, as part of efforts to bring an end to the violence in Syria. China and Russia have been blocking international attempts to increase pressure on Syrian president Bashar al-Assad. The Chinese regime has opposed using force against Syria, as al-Assad's forces step up its assaults on opposition forces in recent days. | Beijing Talk Organ Transplant Prior to 18th Congress Posted: 18 Jul 2012 11:17 PM PDT | Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com A recent article about transplants in China by the Beijing News indicated that there are 1.5 million patients waiting for transplant every year and yet there were only about 200 donors in the past two years. This report was widely adopted by many Chinese media such as Xinhua.net, People.com, and so forth. It also became headlines on the 18th news report of People.com. This article about the organ transplantation and donation status quo in China has once again opened up the dark secrets behind Chinese organ transplants. The Beijing News reported: There are 1.5 million patients waiting for a transplant in China every year. In the past two years, there were only about 200 donors. Between 1999 and May 2012, there were 72 donation cases in Shenzhen. Most of them occurred after the National Organ Donation pilot project launched in 2010. This is a relatively pathetic figure comparing to the 1.5 million people in China waiting for organ transplants each year. In July 1999, former Communist Party General Secretary Jiang Zemin ordered the persecution of Falun Gong. Since 2006, witnesses and evidence about the communist forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners have continued to emerge in the international arena. The CCP has not been able to respond with data and "organ transplant" has been categorized as a sensitive topic.
