The villagers called for the release of Falun Gong practitioner, Wang Xiaodong. The document was exposed on the internet,shocking the top leaders. Local court denied Wang Xiaodong's case due to a "lack of evidence." The case was sent back to the police station for further review. Lawyers in China started to speak out about the case. A well-known lawyer in Beijing said that he would help Falun Gong practitioners to plead not guilty. The case that shocked Beijing top leaders was rejected by the court due to "lack of evidence". It was returned to the police station for review. However, on May 26, local insider Liu Yan said, Wang's lawyer in Hebei was obviouslythreatened by the authorities, he could only plead guilty. Wang's family then decided to find a human rights lawyer by themselves. According to an Epoch Times report on May 27, a Beijing lawyer has accepted Wang's case. Meanwhile he urged other lawyers to familiarise themselves with Wang's case. The anonymous lawyer said he would plead Wang's case for a 'not guilty' verdict. This event raised more and more awareness from the public. Meanwhile, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Politics and Law Committee, which has been persecuting Falun Gong, doing evil things again, and has illegally arrested Wang Xiaodong's younger sister Wang Xiaomei. According to local informed sources, Wang Xiaomei was forced to leave home and temporarily sheltered in a friend's house. He was illegally arrested along with Falun Gong practitioners Kang Lanying and Tang Jianying on May 26th at the China Netcom block of Nanhuan Road, Changzhou City. Time magazine has chosen Bo Xilai twice as it's cover story. 62 Time magazines published in May were confiscated by Chinese Customs. They had been mailed from US headquarters to Beijing. Recently, mainland Chinese tourists have chosen a new hotspot to visit abroad. These are bookstores where books on the Bo event are sold. "World News" reported that Chinese Customs seized 62 Time magazines. Time chose Bo Xilai as the cover for the issue published on May 14, with a slogan "People's Republic of Scandal". It is reported that Chinese Customs notified Time magazine by using the phrase "to be dealt with". Time magazine gave up reclaiming materials as Customs did not mention who will deal with the confiscated magazines.
