The company is focusing on the growth in rent and capital value of prime office buildings in Beijing and Shanghai. According to the company's chairman, SOHO is expected to hold prime office and retail spaces totaling 1.5 million square meters. The annual rental income from existing portfolios aims to exceed 630 million dollars in five years. Beijing and Shanghai's position as a national and international business center, coupled with a very limited supply of prime space, will further improve the office rental and value growth. Rental incomes will be a major source of their profit in three years and sales will become supplementary.
