Analysts Comments on CCP's Conviction of a Taiwanese for Breaking Through the Regime's Propaganda Posted: 28 Jun 2012 08:07 PM PDT | Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com Zhong Dingbang is a manager of a technology company in Hsinchu, Taiwan. He is also a Falun Gong practitioner. Recently, he took a trip to Jiangxi China to visit his relatives, during which he was illegally kidnapped by local police. A few days later, after the family and international organizations demanded reasoning, Xinhua Net, the mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), published an article that said Zhong Dingbang was under investigation by the National Security for assisting Chinese to produce television spots, which "damaged national security." Many analysts pointed out that this kidnapping is the doing of Zhou Yongkang, the secretary of Central Political and Judiciary Committee and the local Political and Judiciary Committee. They are afraid they will be held accountable if their crimes against Falun Gong are exposed, such as the fabricated "Tiananmen Self-immolation incident." Hence, they unscrupulously cover up the truth. On June 26, the CCP's mouthpiece, Xinhua net, reported that from 2003, Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioner Zhong Dingbang collected secret documents via local residents and set up equipment for broadcasting television spots to Mainland China. He is suspected of engaging in the crime of "endangering national security and endangering public security." The report also said that the national security organs announced its "residential surveillance" on Zhong for ... | Views: 0 0 ratings | Time: 03:46 | More in News & Politics |

CCP Spends Hundred Billion on Stability Maintenance in 2011, More scared of Mass Protests Posted: 28 Jun 2012 08:04 PM PDT | Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com On June 26th, the CCP authority announced its central financial report for the past year. According to the report, the CCP's defense expenditure last year was nearly 583 billion Yuan. It also spent about 103.7 billion Yuan on public security. In 2012, the CCP's public security budget is 701.8 billion Yuan, this exceeds its military budget. It is widely believed that the CCP's so-called public security budget is only part of the budget for "stability maintenance", which is much more than what has been announced. Some analyst s remarked that, even spending more than a hundred billion on stability maintenance, the CCP still cannot stop mass protests from spreading. On the other hand, on the third day of mass conflict in Zhongshan, Guangdong, the local authority sent Special Forces for Anti-terrorism and Anti-plane-hijacking to crack down on the protesters. Some media report s wrote that, rather than horrifying outsiders with bloody scenes, such a move indicated more how scared the Guangdong CCP leaders' province felt; they were scared of civilians who tried to resist their tyranny. On June 26th, the CCP's Minister of Finance Xie Xuren announced the annual central financial report during the 27th Session of the 11th National People's Congress. Xie said, in 2011 the CCP spent nearly 583 billion Yuan on defense, and about 103.7 billion Yuan on public security. Some analysts pointed out that, the real amount ... | Views: 4 0 ratings | Time: 05:10 | More in News & Politics |

The Escape of CCP Official in UN --- Zhao Fusan Posted: 28 Jun 2012 08:01 PM PDT | Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com The 6-4(June 4th) Massacre in 1989 involved many people. Four days after the incident, UNESCO held a meeting in Paris. This was planned to be a routine meeting, but 6-4 had shocked the world. The agenda was put aside, and 6-4 was discussed instead. Some delegates accessed graphic photos from media of the students in the massacre. The only Chinese delegate in the meeting was Zhao Fusan. Zhao was a member of the Executive Board of UNESCO Legislative Organization. Zhao was asked to introduce the situation in Beijing, and said three resounding sentences. He then embarked on an escape, and did not return. Yao Cong, a friend of Zhao, revealed the true story of Zhao's escape in an interview with NTD. Chinese authorities described the Tiananmen Square massacre as the 'Tiananmen Incident, nobody died'. Zhao Fusan was clear on what happened on 6-4(June 4th), and he also had first-hand information. Facing 168 country representatives at the UN General Assembly, he had a decision to make. What should he say? Yao Cong, Zhao's friend described the event: "Because of conscience, he is a devout Christian, so on this issue, he did not perform to the central command. He said three sentences, which were very simple truths. The first sentence was that he was shocked by the 6-4 Massacre, killing students. Everyone was shocked, this is a simple sentence. Drug War Mounting in Mexico Posted: 28 Jun 2012 01:47 PM PDT | In the final days before Mexico's presidential elections, humiliating mistakes in the state crackdown on the violence continue to tarnish outgoing President Felipe Calderon's term. On Monday, gunmen killed three policemen near a fast-food court at Mexico City's international airport. Hours later, the government said the killers were police officers on a drug cartel payroll, and that they escaped. Last week, Mexican marines announced that they had captured a son of the country's most wanted trafficker. The next day, the attorney general admitted they had the wrong man. Calderon's successor will inherit the ongoing drug-related violence plaguing the nation. As elections approach, however, candidates are largely shying away from the looming issue, journalist Jose Reveles told Reuters. Jose Reveles, Journalist On Organized Crime and Security "Curiously, in the comments of the candidates, the topic has been almost absent. Everybody speaks a little bit about the insecurity, what they will do with the army on the streets, gradually returning them to their barracks, as well as establishing a national police force. But they haven't established any other sort of measures to take that will diminish the levels of violence we are living." Is Shinshin the Panda Bear Pregnant? Posted: 28 Jun 2012 12:51 PM PDT | Is Shinshin the panda bear pregnant? The Ueno Zoo in Japan wants to know and is monitoring the panda closely. It has been 24 years since the last time a panda has given birth at the zoo, so staff are preparing for the ensuing excitement if the bear is indeed pregnant. Shinshin and her mate Lili came to the zoo in 2011 from China just after that year's catastrophic tsunami. Unfortunately, pandas often show false signs of pregnancy and even skilled veterinarians will not know for certain for a while. Zoo officials are hopeful of the expectancy. [Yutaka Fukuda, Ueno Zoo vice deputy director]: (Japanese) "The fact of the matter is, at Ueno zoo we've had three panda births, but the last birth was in 1988, 24 years ago, so for the Ueno zoo as well, the first time in 24 years to have a birth is something we're really looking forward to. And we're happy to have the support and encouragement of the visitors to the zoo." Pandas are much beloved in Japan, so when news of the potential panda birth, the public became excited. [Michio Souma]: (female Japanese) "Well, I came to the zoo for the first time in awhile because I heard there may be a cause for celebration soon and I really wanted to see the two pandas that were brought to Japan,. Shinshin will not be available to the public beginning on Tuesday, as staff will begin "birth practices." | Views: 2 0 ratings | Time: 01:26 | More in Pets & Animals |

Scholar: Chinese Communist Regime Has Lost Legitimacy Posted: 27 Jun 2012 10:05 PM PDT | Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com Shortly before Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) anniversary on July 1st, the discussion about its legitimacy is getting more attention. Mass protests have arisen both in mainland China and Hong Kong. The CCP's budget for "maintaining stability" is even higher than the military budget, according to analysis by overseas scholars. This indicates that the CCP has lost the legal basis for its power. According to Radio Free Asia, Dr. Tao Peng from North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has discussed that when the budget spent on maintaining the regime's power is more than that spent on its military forces, the regime's legitimacy is questionable, as it is not established on the basis of law, but on the grounds of violence. Dr. Peng said that the legitimacy of a regime lies in three aspects. The first is whether the people accept and comply with it; secondly, it must be accepted by the majority of people. Finally, only when the people acknowledge this authority can it be able to gain and maintain stability. Peng said that not only is the legitimacy of the CCP a current issue, it also drew unprecedented attention this year; particularly after Bo Xilai and Wang Lijun's cases exposed the corruption of CCP and its dark side that opposes the people and the law. Besides that, the people of mainland China are protesting everywhere.
