Korea, Japanese Media Report For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ on.fb.me A Chinese company exported missile launcher vehicles to North Korea for its long-range ballistic missile program, the Japanese newspaper Asahi reported on Wednesday. This is in violation of UN sanctions that forbid any export of vehicles to assist North Korea's ballistic missile and nuclear programs. According to the report, Japanese authorities found that four launcher vehicles were shipped from Shanghai to North Korea last August. North Korea had displayed its ballistic missiles and the 16-wheel vehicles at a military parade back in April. The large missile launcher vehicles had aroused much skepticism from the international community. A UN advisory group said the large carriers may have come from the China. North Korea is unlikely to have developed the technology, given the complexity of manufacturing such vehicles. After the April 19 military parade, State Department deputy spokesman Mark Toner said that reassurances were made from Beijing that it didn't send the launchers, saying (quote), "I think we take them at their word." But days later, the New York Times reported that US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta testified before the House Armed Services Committee on the issue.
