Microsoft Files Piracy Complaint Against China's State-owned Firms: Bloomberg

US software giant Microsoft has named four Chinese state-owned companies in a complaint to Chinese authorities for piracy, Bloomberg News reported today. Citing inside sources, Bloomberg says Microsoft lodged the complaint with a government panel led by Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan. Microsoft reportedly called out China Railway Construction Corp, China National Petroleum Corp, China Post Group and TravelSky Technology for using pirated or unlicensed software made by Microsoft. According to Bloomberg, Microsoft has alleged in the complaint that 84% of Office software used by China Rail Way Construction is unlicensed. For China Post, the piracy rate was 93%.
