The group of activist computer hackers is angry over the death of Internet freedom activist Aaron Swartz. Friends and family blame the death -- by official accounts a suicide -- on the federal government's over-zealous investigation of Swartz. The activist faced a sentence of up to 31 in prison for illegally publishing 4 million academic papers on the web. The Anonymous claim that by taking over the website they're "declaring war on the US government". The FBI say is looking into the incident, handling it as a criminal investigation. Preview of Royal Outfits in Coronation Exhibition Posted: 26 Jan 2013 09:07 AM PST | Clothes worn by Prince Charles and Princess Anne for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation are showcased at Buckingham Palace as part of a major new exhibition. Full story: Clothes worn by Prince Charles and Princess Anne at Queen Elizabeth II's coronation 60 years ago were showcased at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, ahead of a major summer exhibition. The exhibition will display the dresses, robes, and gowns made for the Queen and her immediate family. Exhibition Curator Caroline de Guitaut described the clothes worn by Prince Charles and Princess Anne on June 2, 1953. [Caroline de Guitaut, Exhibition Curator]: "Prince Charles himself did attend the coronation—he was four years old at the time. Princess Anne, at only two, was considered a little bit too young to sit through four hours of the ceremony. Nonetheless, both their outfits are incredibly charming. Princess Anne's dress is made of cream silk with beautiful lace, and Prince Charles' outfit has a cream silk shirt with matching trousers, trimmed with lace. And both outfits were designed by Miss Hodgson, who was a children's outfitters supplying the royal children at that time. And they're very fitting for the occasion - they're both modern, but they're also traditional, which was very much a theme of coronation day in 1953." Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to see the personal, illustrated invitation sent to Prince Charles. Created by illustrator Joan Hassall, it features a lion, a unicorn, and marching ... | Views: 57 3 ratings | Time: 01:32 | More in News & Politics |

UEFA Announces Plans for Euro 2020 Posted: 26 Jan 2013 03:42 PM PST | UEFA announces that Euro 2020 will be held in 13 cities across the continent and the two semi-finals and final will all be played in the same stadium. Full Story: Euro 2020 will be held in 13 cities across the continent, according to UEFA . It announced the first concrete plans for the tournament on Friday (January 25), saying the two semi-finals and final will all be played in the same stadium. The UEFA secretary general says no more than one venue per country would be permitted for the 24-team tournament. Venues will be chosen in September of next year. [Gianni Infantino, UEFA Secretary General]: "The matches of the Euro will be split into 13 packages basically." UEFA voted in December to stage the tournament in cities across the continent rather than one or two host countries. It's a radical departure from the traditional format for major tournaments. European soccer's governing body says it will allow smaller countries a slice of the action, as they could not stage the 24-team tournament on their own. Twelve cities will be awarded a package of three group games, plus one knockout-stage game. The 13th city will receive a "special package" consisting of the two semi-finals and final. UEFA says its associations could present up to two bids each—one for the knockout package matches and one for the final plus semi-finals. [Gianni Infantino, UEFA Secretary General]: "12 cities who would include three group stage matches and one knock out round, an eight-final or quarter ... | Views: 0 2 ratings | Time: 03:06 | More in News & Politics |

Divers in Hawaii Rescue Dolphin Tangled in Fishing Line Posted: 26 Jan 2013 01:10 PM PST | Dramatic underwater footage in Hawaii captures divers rescuing a bottlenose dolphin caught up in fishing line. Full Story: Divers off the coast of Hawaii rescued a bottlenose dolphin who seemed to be asking for their help. The dolphin swam into the lighted areas and scuba diving instructors noticed that a fishing line was restricting the dolphin's movement. The encounter was caught on video on January 11 when instructor Keller Laros spent close to 8 minutes next to the mammal. The video shows the dolphin swimming up to the divers and pushing into Laros—the instructor interpreted this as a call for help. The dolphin allowed Laros to work on him, cutting the fishing line and attempting to free a hook lodged in its pectoral fin. After the fishing line was removed, the dolphin went up to get air and then came back to Laros, who tried unsuccessfully to remove the hook. After several minutes the dolphin swam away.
