Analysts have warned, however, that the two new DPRK economic zones may suffer. Qian Yingchun, general manager at Tongyi in Dandong, near the border with North Korea, said trade with the DPRK has been "operating as usual" since the test. Qian said that most trading business with the DPRK in his city is small-scale, but is influenced slightly by the dispute at the international level. Tongyi is a trading company that has exported Chinese construction materials, metals, general merchandise and furniture to the DPRK for more than 15 years. Qian said that even if trading was suspended, customs formalities would likely return to normal after a few days. China is the DPRK's largest trading partner. The cross-border trade in the frontier city of Dandong alone reportedly accounts for more than 80 percent of Sino-DPRK trade. According to the General Administration of Customs, excluding a dip in 2009, trade has increased every year since 2000, reaching $5.67 billion in 2011, a rise of 62 percent year-on-year. China's major imports include coal, ores, woven apparel, fish and seafood, while exports include electrical machinery, vehicles and iron and steel. China is also a major source for the DPRK's petroleum supply. In 2010 the 2 countries established the ...

Go to www.bon.tv to watch the full episode Follow us on Weibo weibo.com or Twitter.com/ChinaBizWire Chinese economy, which faces a year of transition as a new younger leadership has vowed to unleash growth through various economic reforms coupled with a push towards more urbanization. However, market watchers say that the path ahead is likely to be bumpy and any changes probably will be more gradual than expected. The economy is likely to recover further in the first half, but some say that is when inflation and real estate bubbles may start to fuel concern. Nomura's China chief economist Zhang Zhiwei said the world's second-largest economy might see "a story of two halves: averaging 8.2 per cent in the first half, but then slowing noticeably to 7.2 per cent in the second". Infrastructure investment will pick up further as part of incoming premier Li Keqiang's urbanization push, which aims to eventually attract millions more migrant workers to live in cities and enjoy urban education and health care. Some people also think the urbanization will inevitably drive up demand for property and push prices higher. According to Zhang, inflation and financial risks in the so-called shadow banking industry and the property market, as well as overcapacity in various industries, may worsen in the second half, prompting the authorities to shift to a tighter stance. Others also predict a rough road this year, with many saying the biggest uncertainty lies in how the new leadership will ...

Our top search today is woman plays ghost to avoid parking fee. This popular phrase refers to a video that went viral on the Chinese Internet recently. It shows a guard apparently working at the toll-gate of a parking lot. He stretches out his arm towards the window of a car for the fee but sees there doesn't seem to be anybody driving. The guard then moves closer to check out what's up but suddenly jumps back in fear and runs away. The reason? A woman wearing sheet like white clothes and long black hair spookily covering her face has suddenly appeared in the car. She then quickly jumps out and lifts the bar allowing the car to leave without paying. The person who uploaded the video claims that it was captured by a security camera in a parking lot at a tourist attraction notorious for exorbitant parking charges. Whether that's the case of not many net users -- fed up of constantly rising parking fees -- applauded the woman's creative means of avoiding being stiffed.
